Raw Performance was set up to help improve the health and well-being of local communities by offering fully funded, accessible, and enjoyable outdoor fitness and well-being sessions that are suitable for everyone.

We offer a judgement-free environment for everyone, free of charge, in order to help you reach your health, fitness, and well-being goals.

Our outdoor fitness camps are circuit training based.

We incorporate progressions, regressions, and other exercises into our fun, easy-to-follow, keep-fit classes so that anyone can participate!

Bootcamps are a great way to improve your overall fitness and mental health or just to feel better within yourself.

Sam

Sam started his career in the British Army, initially serving in the Royal Engineers, and finishing as a member of the UKSF. During that time, one role Sam fulfilled was a PTI (Physical training Instructor). This was where his passion for improving the fitness, health, and well-being of others began.


After leaving the forces, Sam worked abroad before settling in South Wales, where he now works to prepare young adults for their chosen role within the Military.

It’s been brilliant to see the impact this has had on so many, and how it has already positively changed people's lives.”

With over 20 years of experience delivering physical training, Sam is passionate about using the “Military Mindset” and our veterans' many transferable skills and experiences to help others achieve their physical and mental goals.

Steve

Steve Tallis served with the Welsh Guards and enjoyed the varied and exciting role as an infantryman. Upon leaving he worked abroad for a number of years before settling back in Wales working in the leisure industry delivering fitness classes and personal training.

 

He currently works for the Military Preparation College preparing young adults for life in the military. In 2016 he was short-listed and reached the finals for the best teacher of the year TES FE Awards. He was recognised for having a tremendous influence on post-16 education in his area. His community and education work was recognised in 2019 when he won the Inspirational Veteran of Wales Award. Steve has supported and raised money for many different charities and is a proud ambassador of the charity Dreams and Wishes. With over 20 years experience of in delivering group fitness, Steve knows first-hand the benefits being active can bring to participants.

Steve says “We are very proud that we have developed an offering which will have such a positive effect on the fabric of our society. We will appeal to all generations, all cultures, and all social classes and indeed we create environments that build positivity by removing barriers to achieve a fitter and healthier lifestyle.
